Hi,

I have just downloaded the 8.6e version and tried to play my h.264/acc muxed mp4 file. It plays no problem. The problem occurs when I skip past more the 40minutes or so. If I do this the video and audio pause, the time index keeps moving forward. At first I thought VLC player was hanging but its not. I can access all the menus and if left long enough the audio and video will start playing again. So it is just taking a very long time to skip forward. It will do this for mp4 and m4a files alike but not with any other format. It plays and skips avis no problem. I know there is nothing wrong with the files themselves.
I have spent hours searching forums etc (how I knew the audio and video eventually catch up) and all i have found is really old posts asking the same question with no answer. Can any one shed some light on this problem. I dont want to change players cause VLC I use for everthing and its so easy to use?

Please help.
